If you’re interested in sponsoring one of my lectures, please contact me directly at talkwithnate@gmail.com.

If you chose to sponsor a lecture, please fill out the official Christian Science Lecture application form here. Filling out that application is a formal agreement that you will sponsor one of my lectures. After the lecture application is submitted, I often book non-refundable travel arrangements soon after.

PREP MEETING:

I find prep meetings very helpful for both the lecturer and sponsoring church. Conference calls generally work well. Freeconferencecall.com gives out free conference numbers, if you don’t have one. Skype works well too. Monday, Tuesday or Thursday nights generally fit my schedule, but please send me a potential date when you have one.

Three wonderful articles to study as you prepare for hosting lectures:

Fulfilling the purpose of a Christian Science lecture by ROSE M. HENNIKER-HEATON (The Christian Science Journal, May 1981)

A Christian Science Lecture by PAUL STARK SEELEY (The Christian Science Sentinel, September 1918)

Faithful laborers for a Christian Science lecture by MARY DAVIES (The Christian Science Journal, March 1984)

And here a very helpful article on addressing fear and another on contagion.

CUSTOM AD MATERIALS:

If you don’t not use the free advertising materials available at the link above and you want to create a custom flyer, you can pay a design to add your info to a flyer or make one from scratch. Tara Sorab is a designer that I’ve worked with. You can contact her by email at info@taralight.ca or by phone at 416-423-8410. Below is an example of a flyer, postcard and poster that she created and is available to be customized.

Flyer (8.5”x11”)

Postcard (4”x6”)

Poster (22”x28”)

NEEDS FOR THE LECTURE DAY:

-A microphone. I prefer a wireless lavalier to clip onto my shirt. Second choice is a wireless handheld mic. Third choice is a wireless headset.

-A small table for my books and a small bottle/glass of water.

-A white screen for my projector (Ideally 6’+ wide).

-I will bring my projector, but if a facility has one built-in, it’s best to use theirs. I will bring my laptop and remote.

-If we’re using my projector, an extension cord and power strip is usually needed. Also, an additional small table is often helpful.

SAMPLE INTRODUCTION:

Good morning! And thank you all for joining us today for an inspiring adventure into prayer and healing.

Our speaker, Nate Frederick, is a Christian Science practitioner from Boston, Massachusetts. Nate loves traveling and sharing insights into the universal power of God, and how this power can bring about good in our individual lives.

As a former media producer, Nate produced the award-winning “Daily Lift” podcast for The First Church of Christ, Scientist in Boston, the headquarters of the Christian Science church. Nate loves music, being out in nature and baking cakes for his friends. But he would say that his greatest passion is to help people through prayer.

Please join me in welcoming Nate Frederick!

(Please do not make the introduction longer than this and do not share any healing examples from my practice unless they’re approved.)

LECTURE FEES:

Please contact me directly for pricing. I offer a second lecture at half price.

LECTURE EXPENSES:

Nate generally sends his expenses out two to three weeks before the lecture. He prefers to receive two checks (one for fee and another for expenses) at the lecture or mailed to his home after the event.
