Working for God

A lot of people wonder how they can have better thoughts. I came across this line in this week's Christian Science Bible Lesson that offers some insight.

"Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established." -Proverbs 16:3

For me, that means that we can seek to please God with unselfish actions throughout our day. We can know that "work" is actually being what we're designed to be -- God's loving, principled expression. We don't work for a human reward, but to please God and express God, divine Love. When we're "commit[ting] our works unto the Lord," we'll find thoughts of joy, peace and fulfillment filling our lives. This not only blesses ourselves, but all in the atmosphere of our thought.
