Quietness, order and peace

This morning my wife prayed for our family a beautiful stansa from a John Greenleaf Whittier poem:

"Drop Thy still dews of quietness, Till all our strivings cease; Take from us now the strain and stress, And let our ordered lives confess The beauty of Thy peace."

Isn't that beautiful? I think we can all make room for more quietness, order and peace today. Quietness, order and peace as qualities of Life and bring an end to the strain and stress of I-have-to-figure-it-out, I-need-help or I-want-my-way thinking. Since divine Life or God is the source of all harmony, we can let go of the strain and stress of figuring things out on our own. Divine Life is ordering our lives and filling them with purpose and health. We can enjoy being quiet, feeling the orderly impulse of divine Life and moving forward as peaceful transparencies of Life's true qualities. Quietness, order and peace have no bad side-effects and they're contagious.
